Common Use Cases

The diagrams below show a few of the common architectures used when implementing an Omniview SCADA or HMI project.

Basic Installation

The Omniview Server, Client and a Historian database may be installed on the same computer that is connected to the factory network or directly to a compatible device. When used with the Omniview TrendViewer, this is the fastest method for a user to begin storing and interacting with production data.

HMI

An Omniview client may be installed on a panel PC to be used as a HMI.

An Omniview Server existing in the DMZ would be able to access devices located in the Factory network and databases and consumers in the Corporate network.
